Liquidation radar: where whale positions break
Every tracked whale position carries a liquidation price. This radar measures how far that level sits from today’s price and adds up what a given move would force out.
Experimental section. Every page publishes its method, coverage and limitations; history accumulates only from real timestamped snapshots and is never back-filled.

What a move would force out
If markets fall 10%, $474.53M of tracked whale money is forced out across 286 positions. If they rise 10%, $270.4M across 129.

Money whose liquidation price sits within the move. Positions under $1M are ignored when picking the nearest level.

Sources and coverage
Primary market data: Hyperliquid public API. Historical comparisons use only archived Spottrench snapshots that actually exist.
Calculation method
liquidationPx is read from the daily clearinghouse snapshot for every tracked wallet. Direction is taken from where the level sits relative to the current price, not from the side of the position, so a level the market has already passed is not counted as a move that still has to happen.
Snapshot method
Reads liquidationPx of tracked whale positions from the daily clearinghouse snapshot and measures how far each level sits from the current price. Scenario bands sum the money whose liquidation price is within a given move.
Frequently asked questions
Does a level here mean the position will be liquidated?
No. It is the price Hyperliquid reports as the liquidation point given the margin held at snapshot time. Traders add margin, cut size or close out, and most of this money sits in cross margin, so the level moves whenever anything else in that account moves.
Why are most levels so far from the price?
Large wallets tend to run low effective leverage, so most levels sit well away from price. How many are close right now is printed above the table — the radar reports that distance rather than hiding it.
What does “money without a level” mean?
Hyperliquid returns no liquidation price for a position when the rest of the account offsets it. That money is real but has no level, so it is reported as its own measurement above and is absent from every scenario band.
Is this the whole market?
No. It covers the large wallets our collector tracks — a few hundred positions per market at most, against tens of thousands of open positions on a busy market. Treat every number as a lower bound.
Known limitations
- Positions come from a sample of large wallets, so every figure is a floor and never a market total. liquidationPx is Hyperliquid’s estimate at the margin held when the snapshot was taken — about 85% of it cross margin, which moves with the rest of the account — and the snapshot is rebuilt once a day.
- liquidationPx is Hyperliquid’s estimate at the margin held when the snapshot was taken, not a guaranteed trigger.
- Almost all tracked positions use cross margin, so a level moves as the rest of that account changes.
- Hyperliquid returns no liquidation price for part of the money; that share is reported separately and is missing from every band.
- Positions come from a sample of large wallets, not the full order book — bands are a floor, never a total.
- The snapshot is rebuilt once a day, so levels lag intraday moves.
Experimental statistics are not a recommendation or financial advice. Correlation does not establish causation, tracked wallets are only a sample, and past relationships may disappear.
